That’s why I keep avoiding loving someone. It’s really hurt a lot when you have to lose someone you love.I’ve been through this kind of situation third time. When I realize that I met precious person for me.There’s something always took them away from me.I’ve done with me.So I get myself lock and never open to anyone. It’s lonely indeed but I don’t want to lose any precious thing no more.I always step backward before I fall for someone.I have no more strength to take a risk at all.Eventhough I know that love is the greatest thing on earth which makes live carry on.It’s the most beautiful thing I remember.I now sacrifice myself to work so I have no time to think about love. But tell you the love it’s not what i want at all.Noone want to be alone.Human are supposed to be together especially to be with someone you love. The one you can sacrifice your life for.I make a decision now I won’t scared to love anymore.I’ll take a risk one more time.I want to taste that beautiful hilarious time once again.I want to live a life once again. This is what i choose.I will do my best from now on.

For a city that touts itself as a leader in green architecture, LA has few green roofs. Only recently, it got one of its first, designed by architect (and SCI-Arc professor) Alexis Rochas.

The sinuous project, located on top of The Flat, a new downtown residential building, is made of a folding and torqued galvanized sheet metal surface, prefabricated off site. This forms a series of platforms or “grow channels” filled with engineered soil that’s light enough not to weigh the project down. The tiered structure, supported by an armature of steel tubes and a plywood substructure, wraps around the building’s existing mechanical rooftop equipment, offering maximum solar exposure, maximum growing room, and efficient irrigation.

Besides filtering pollutants, increasing thermal insulation, and reducing storm water runoff, the 3,000-square-foot garden—engineered by Arup and built with the help of students at SCI-Arc—is its own ecosystem, with plants tended and used by residents and the chefs of The Flat’s ground-floor restaurant, Blue Velvet. Vegetation is then returned to the roof in the form of compost. Over 20 types of plants are grown here, rotated by season. This spring’s crop includes thyme, kale, artichokes, tomatoes, chard, Thai basil, four types of mint, and Walla Walla onions.

Yum! The roof grows dozens of varieties of vegetables, fruits, and herbs.

Sam LubeLL

“It’s really an unexplored program,” said Rochas, noting that most green roofs are basically flat, and not necessarily architectural. He likens his design to a series of rolling hills. “Because it’s a mix of garden and sculpture, it’s something you can enjoy looking at, as well as using,” he said.

So is this the beginning of a green roof revolution in LA? Maybe not a revolution, but there are more planted roofs on the way. The city is putting a planted covering on its new Council District 9 constituent center in South LA, and a restroom in the new Vista Hermosa Park downtown has a green roof on top of it. According to the city’s Department of Environmental Affairs, the LA Zoo is also investigating a green roof for its upcoming reptile and insect center, and the city is considering installing a partial green roof above City Hall, although neither project has yet received funding.

To encourage more in the future, the Department of Environmental Affairs in 2007 published a Green Roof Resource Guide, laying out the best ways to create a green roof and get it through the regulatory process. Furthermore, the city’s new Green Building Ordinance, passed last fall, requires that new buildings pass a green checklist, and awards points for green roofs.

Tom Bonner

Still, Jill Sourial, environmental projects manager for City Councilman Ed Reyes (Sourial helped Rochas navigate the approvals process for his green roof), warns that the city won’t become the next Chicago, where green roofs are everywhere. Nor does she think that green roofs—which can be costly, and provide little storm water runoff benefits in a low-rain area like LA—will ever become mandatory. “It’s a good option for creating new open spaces, and for heat minimization, but in LA, it’s more for people who have a green aesthetic and want to promote that,” she said. City environmental supervisor

Jose Gutierrez is more upbeat, looking at green roofs’ citywide benefits, which could include an overall drop in air temperature, lower heating and cooling costs and less related emissions, new habitats for birds and insects, and a beautification of the city. “Would you rather look at concrete on the top of the building next to you, or a beautiful garden?” he asked.

(Additional photos and a video tour of the roof can be found here.)

Appropriately enough for a store that celebrates locally-made furniture, Voos has opened in Williamsburg, a hub of DIY activity, and draws from Brooklyn’s designer-dense neighborhoods of Red Hook, Dumbo, Greenpoint, and the Navy Yard. A collaboration between architects Serap Demirag and Deger Cengiz, the minimally designed, 1,500-square-foot space was sparked after Demirag spotted a table by Brooklyn-based woodworker Palo Samko at last year’s Architectural Digest Home Design Show. That led to her discovery that “Brooklyn is booming with designers,” she told AN, and now 90 percent of the furniture on display is Brooklyn-designed, with the remaining pieces from New York’s other boroughs. Promoting the local vibe, furniture is also manufactured in town, with about 80 percent of the designers fabricating the pieces themselves. The store has already become a haven for the neighborhood design community, and the ever-expanding list—along with inventory that changes every other month—boasts established names such as Takeshi Miyakawa and City Joinery, as well as up-and-coming designers including store partner Cengiz, Laurie Beckerman, and DMFD Studio. Voos will celebrate its official opening after this month’s ICFF show, and aims to serve not just as a showroom, but as a welcoming hub for the borough’s growing creative economy.

In July, an undulating aluminum canopy threaded through the trees will open on the lawn of London’s Serpentine Gallery. Designed by Tokyo-based SANAA, the pavilion is the latest addition to the gallery’s high-profile roster of temporary
structures by prominent designers. Also opening this summer in London, the Art Fund Pavilion, from a competition-winning design by the young Brooklyn-based firm Tina Manis Associates, will serve as an annual seasonal gallery for the Lightbox in Woking, a contemporary art center founded in 1993, which opened its current home in 2007.

The 2009 Serpentine design is a stark departure from Frank Gehry’s weighty composition of wooden beams, steel, and fractured glass, built last year. True to their ongoing investigations of lightness, thinness, and surface, the SANAA pavilion is designed to blur the boundaries between architecture, landscape, and furniture. The canopy will rise overhead and dip down to table height, reflecting land and sky on its curvilinear planes. “For us it’s a dream come true to be working with SANAA, to be able to introduce their first built work in the UK,” said Hans Ulrich Obrist, co-director of the Serpentine.

The SANAA design will be executed with the engineering help of Arup and SAPS. “The aluminum will be incredibly thin, thanks to our spectacular design and engineering team,” said Serpentine co-director Julia Peyton-Jones. The pavilion will open in July and will remain standing through October. Obrist and Peyton-Jones believe the design will allow for flexible programming, from impromptu picnics to formal symposia.

Unlike the Serpentine structure, which lasts only one season, the Art Fund Pavilion will be disassembled and reinstalled on site each summer. Made of structural plywood box panels with Finnply cladding, the structure is designed to display hanging and freestanding works, while providing seating space for 30, as well as event space. In order to accommodate the program while differentiating the space, Manis conceived of the structure as a ramp guiding the visitor through the pavilion and offering strategic views out to the city and the adjacent canal. “We are creating a new topography for a flat site,” Manis said. “The goal is to create a sense of movement, of dynamic engagement with the area.”

The project comes with a tight, £100,000 budget, but for Manis the commission is a breakthrough for her four-person firm into the realm of public, cultural projects. “It’s the scale and program we’re most interested in,” she said. The firm prevailed over entrants from around the world. “You rarely see opportunities like this in America for young, small firms. We’ll definitely be pursing this kind of work more diligently now.” The pavilion will be previewed in September at Tent London, a fair that is part of Design Week. It will be constructed on the Woking site in the spring of 2010.

I love watching people trying their best to play music. That’s why all of people I’ve supported can play music instrument especially guitar and piano. The best musician i’ve admired is Johann Pachebel.I do love the song “Canon In D”.I’ve listening to this song everytime i feel down after that I can refresh myself and feel like new things are going to happen.Another classic musician i love is Johann sebastian Bach.Actually they both have same sense of music if you listen to their music. You will get the sense of Barouqe but only one different is most of Bach’s songs related to religion.

When i was in junior high,I started to interest in japansese music. At that time it’s X japan. As i remembered Hide the guitar god was commited suicide. So out of the news i had a chance to listen to their songs and i completely addicted to their song just then.I can feel super energy in them, also yoshiki’s voice is so hypersonic and so damn sexy.Fews years after that i’ve started to listened to pop-both american pop and j pop.Japanese boybands are way different to american bands. They were grouped together since they were young to be back up stage dancers for senior bands.I think it’s good for them to gain such experiences so at the time they can debut themself they won’t shy to audience and be so professional entertainers like their senior do.The bands i’ve admired is Arashi and News.Because i’ve watched them grow up,I can see so much change in them.

Not only boyband i listen to, i also addict to mr.children,ELT,Tamaki hiroshi,Angela Aki.I do love their voices.

ne,ohisashibura na.atashi wa genki da demo iroiro have happened recently na.kyou atashi wa koizora ga miteru yo.Kono eiga wa kakkoi da.watashi ne think i can touch into the character’s feeling at that time.Sugoi desu yo kore wa.This is second movie i watch Harumachan cast the leadind role after Gokusen3.He’s very talented. So as Gakkychan.I’ve watched many dramas she played. This is the first movie i’ve seen her.Yuichan mo sugoi desu. She never let me down since the first time i saw her in the role umewarasan in my boss my hero. Her smile is very capatable my heart. No wonder if i were a boy i absolutely want to go out with her. When it had a rumour she was dating tesshi.i really wish it’s true.I really love then both. One thing i do admire in yuichan and haruchan wa even they are still young but they do really into the role so the audience can sink in to the emotion they sent through. This is what i believe is the symbol of real artist. It’s what people say”born to be” really exist.Ganbatte ne Gakkychan Harumachan!! I’ll continue supporting u guys as always.

koi wa nan desuka. To me it can has meaning or even meaningless.people just give the definition for many reason.but i believe it’s all base on two people who want to make the things call love happened. So no matter what u do,it can be love in my definition. When you think you’re in love with someone you can do anything no matter it’s bad or good.Things u suddenly think at that time is that person. You want to see her/his smile. You want to win their heart or even want them to recognize your existance in just one bit minute.I do believe as long as it’s love some good things will happen between u two.it may be last long or not work out.At least i still believe that there’re good memory in that time when you’re together. So whatif your love is not right.I want you guys to think back about good memory remaining so that you can be stronger and smarter in love.Remember that people have ondividual heart so noone can really understand others. The most inportant is you have to understand yourself first and then open your heart to learn others.Life is like an adventure isn’t it? Love is the same so you have to take a risk sometimes so that you can know the result yourself.Doing nothing is kind of meaningless.Well, then Minna ganbatte kudasai!
